Glenbrook Preschool Kindergarten provides quality care and an educational curriculum from 8.00am to 3.30pm, 41 weeks a year for 40 children per day between the ages of 3 and 5 years.
We are a not-for-profit community based preschool managed by a parent committee representing current and previous families. At Glenbrook Preschool, we are particularly privileged to operate in a beautiful bush setting. We focus on providing a warm, nurturing space that encourages the development of the whole child. We believe that children who feel a strong sense of belonging and well-being are then able to learn. The curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework (ELYF), and we strongly believe in learning through play. Please feel free to make an appointment to visit our preschool. Appointments are available between 9am-11am Mondays & Fridays. |

Glenbrook preschool is an inclusive community
As Glenbrook Preschool is a community-based preschool we are inclusive to all children and families. It is our aim to be a safe place for all families who feel valued and accepted for who they are. At the beginning of your time at preschool, we ask that you fill in your Being, Belonging and Becoming forms to help us support you and your child at preschool. This is your opportunity to share with us the important parts of your family life that you feel are important for us to know. If there are religious/cultural or family traditions that you feel we need further information to support your child, please chat with your child’s teacher. Glenbrook Preschool is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework Version 2.0 which states: “Educators acknowledge the histories, cultures, languages, traditions, religions, spiritual beliefs, child rearing practices and lifestyle choices of families. They build culturally safe and secure environments for all children and their families. Educators value children’s unique and diverse capacities and capabilities and respect families’ home lives”. At times, you child may be included in discussions, stories or use resources that refer to different cultures, religions, or families. This is important to make all children feel valued and accepted. Our preschool is a place for all children to feel like they belong! It is our aim that all families feel welcome and comfortable in our preschool. If you would like further information, please refer to social justice and inclusion policies. |
